It was Halloween, I was walking to the local grocery store.

A little boy and his Dad were walking behind me.

The little boy looked up at me and he screamed aloud,

“WHO IS THIS MAN?!”

His dad became embarrassed and apologised to me. (No need)

The thing with kids is they are not conditioned from years of the schooling system.

They act on what is in front of them from a genuine place of curiosity.

I feel as we grow older we struggle to lead with curiosity.

Vulnerability is the main prerequisite to curiosity. You have to risk looking ‘silly’ to connect with someone on the deepest level.

Ultimately, we are born curious beings.

Think back to the days when you played with imaginary friends and danced in public.

Yet this becomes quashed out of us as we are made to walk a tight rope through our teenage years. We fast become fixated with what to say and how to fit in. This process is what leads to us forgetting that we were full in the first place.

Next time you are in your local park take note of how the young kids embrace everything around them.

Curiosity didn’t kill the cat.

Here we are away from the chaos of social media. Too often I am caught mindlessly scrolling or worrying about something on social media.

Here we can look at things with a clear mind.

I’ve been made to do a lot of ‘growing’ lately.

I’ve been made to confront some of life’s inevitabilities.

Because of this, I look at areas of my life with a new viewpoint.

Perhaps you might find some of these views interesting / valuable.

In these passages of writing, there will be no right or wrong.

There will however be many questions. Questioning of everything.

I promise this will be raw, true to myself and with love.

The topics will consist of things that occupy our minds daily.

I don’t know where this will take us and that’s what makes me excited.
